Maria Brachelli-Pigeon
Maria is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her Masters degree from LaSalle University, Philadelphia, PA (Master of Arts, Clinical Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, and a focus on Addictions Counseling). She obtained her undergraduate degree at Villanova University (BA in Psychology with minors in Writing and Rhetoric, Spanish, and Cognitive Science).
In addition to maintaining an active license in Marriage and Family Therapy in the state of Pennsylvania since 2012, Maria is credentialed as a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP) through the Mental Health Integrative Medicine Institute and also a Certified Healthcare Quality Profession (CPHQ) through the National Association for Healthcare Quality.
Prior to her counseling experience, Maria was a Personal Care Home Administrator and has extensive experience in working with the elderly, their families, and children of aging parents with multi-generational family needs.
She’s had extensive training in family systems, addictions work, and problem gambling. She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) among other trauma approaches. Since 2013, she has been volunteering as a clinician with The Soldier Project and treating post 9/11 veterans and their family members.
